‘Is God a Metaphor?’ at OUUF; Christian Science talk set for Saturday; Firehouse theater on tap

‘Is God a Metaphor?’

Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, Agnew, will have returning speaker Joseph Bednarik present “Is God a Metaphor?” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 24.

Sunday services are followed by a fellowship coffee hour.

Third Sundays are Potluck Sundays after the service.

Christian Science talk set for Saturday

Kari Mashos, a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, will be giving a lecture titled “Faith, Christianity, Health: a lecture on Christian Science” at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the Quality Inn & Suites, 134 River Road, Sequim.

The ideas shared in Mashos’ lecture are based on the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible and as discussed in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.


Firehouse theater on tap

The Sequim Worship Center, at 640 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim, presents “Fire Station #6,” a special performance by Fishnet Theatre, at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at the church.

Experience a day in the life of firefighters, with both heartbreaking tragedy and light-hearted comedy. Be challenged and enriched by this family friendly night of free theater.
