Lent begins at St. Luke’s; ‘The Answer Is Always Love!’ at OUUF; pre-worship music during Lent at Trinity United; movie night slated at First Baptist Church

Lent begins at St. Luke’s

On Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, will hold two services. There will be a celebration of the Eucharist as well as the Imposition of Ashes at both 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The community is invited to take part.


‘The Answer Is Always Love!’ at OUUF

The Rev. Julia McKenna-Blessing is the speaker at Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, Agnew, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14. Her talk, entitled “The Answer Is Always Love!” explores learning how to love and the different ways to love healthfully. McKenna-Blessing has been for more than 25 years an interdenominational minister.

Pre-worship music during Lent

Starting at 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim, will be providing special pre-service music. Some of the richest instrumental and choral music has been written for the Lenten season and some of the featured music will be organ solos and piano/organ duets.

 

Movie night slated at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, 1323 Dungeness Way, Sequim, will host a free family movie night at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, showing the movie “War Room.”

Free popcorn and snacks will be available.
