How black lives matter
Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, presents Robyn Ferret, who will talk about “How Black Lives Matter” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 21. Ferret is a teacher of history/literature and environmentally cultural studies. Choir practice is at 9:30 a.m. and after the service the congregation has a coffee fellowship.
Lent Program at St. Luke’s
Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 17, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, commences a weekly Lenten program which includes Vespers at 4:30 p.m., followed by salad and bread supper at 5 p.m., Lenten teachings at 5:30 p.m. and Compline at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to join in.
Taize services set
All are welcome to the ecumenical Taize service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22. In a meditative candlelit atmosphere which includes singing simple repetitive songs, one may simply sit peacefully during the hour long service or join in the chorus while experiencing the calming effect of being in God’s presence. Taize continue each fourth Monday.
