Swiss steaks and mashed potatoes are still hot commodities at Sequim’s oldest event.

Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., celebrated its 122nd dinner on Oct. 25 with more than 200 people eating at the venue or taking it home. 

Carl Rice, who has helped for 16 years, said prepping for the day is long but worth the hard work.

“It’s an all-church effort. We couldn’t do it without them,” Helen Rice said.

The first Harvest Dinner was served in the church when it was in Dungeness in 1889. It skipped two years during World War II.
