Clallam County Fire District 3 personnel quelled a small brush fire at the Clasen Cove Estates just east of Sequim Community Church off of Fifth Avenue on Tuesday morning.

Ed Evans of KSQM reports homeowner Gary Steele said he was burning some dry leaves with a propane burner when it got out of control.

Fire District 3 quickly put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to Steele’s home.
