The annual First Teacher winter celebration is slated for 10 a.m.-noon on Friday, Dec. 11, in the commons at Sequim Community School, 220 W. Alder St.

There is no charge for the event.

Each child receives a free book and a free photo with Santa Claus or Frosty the Snowman.

The event includes crafts and activities, clowns making balloon animals, as well as refreshments and holiday music performed by local musicians.
