The program is set for 5:30-8 p.m. Mondays from Sept. 19-Oct. 17 at the Shipley Center, 921 E. Hammond St.

Learn practical skills with other parents from facilitator Nicole Brewer. Learn about how to avoid unwinnable power struggles and arguments, how to stay calm when children do upsetting things, set enforceable limits, avoid enabling, help children learn from mistakes rather than repeating them, and more.

Cost is $10 per adult per class. The sessions include a family dinner, child care (with activities) and a children’s book each session.
