The Port Angeles Symphony is sponsoring a Tuesday, Dec. 29, trip to the Bellevue Botanical Gardens as a fundraiser.

Volunteers from the botanical gardens use thousands of LED lights to create flowers, trees and small creatures for the display.

Tom and Linda Cook, owners of Silver City Charters, will donate a bus and driver for the event. The bus will leave the Port Angeles Walmart, 3500 Highway 101, at 2 p.m. and the Sequim Walmart at Priest Road at 2:30 p.m. Riders should be at the stores 15 minutes early so they don’t miss the bus.

The tour costs $45 with $25 going to the symphony. The rest of the money will pay for the ferry ride and parking. Dinner will be at the Old Country Buffet at Factory Square. The cost of dinner is not included in the price of the tickets.

For information on the tour, call Barbara Hunter at 683-4743.

The show itself runs from 5-10 p.m. every evening until Jan. 2. There is a suggested donation of $1 per person or $5 per family. Tickets can be entered into nightly, or weekly drawings or a grand prize drawing. Prizes are flower arrangements made from LED lights.
