The Clallam County Genealogical Society will meet from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

Attendees are encouraged to come 15-20 minutes early to register, visit and have a cup of coffee. The public is invited and there is no cost.

Barbara Offerman will entertain the group with her presentation of “The way we were — finding family members across the centuries.”

How can you organize your genealogy in a simple manner, making it an interesting story for your family and friends? Offerman will tell how you can create a simplistic, understandable and personal family history — a record that is direct enough to capture and hold the attention of the “face-in-the-phone” generation as Offerman puts it.

She will blend older and newer technologies she used when setting about the task of creating a Family Book. Her love of history and travel has allowed her to find several generations of ancestors, where they came from in Europe and even the homes in which they lived.
