Get healthy, fit with P.C.’s new wellness classes

Starting Sept. 23, Peninsula College health and wellness instructor Cassondra Vellucci begins three new community education classes.

 

Turbo Kick, offered Mondays through Dec. 9, combines kickboxing, sports drills and simple dance moves with music for a complete cardio workout. The class meets from 6-7 p.m. in Room P9 on the college campus. Cost is $93.50.

 

PiYo Strength is a fast-paced class designed to improve functional training and dynamic balance by using moves inspired by Pilates, yoga and athletic conditioning. It meets Tuesdays, Sept. 24-Dec. 10. The class is held in Room P9 from 6-7 p.m. Cost is $102.

 

HIIT Training is offered each Wednesday during the quarter, starting Sept. 25. The class invites pushes participants to certain limits for short intervals, then transitions to total body movements during recovery times. The class meets from 6-6:30 p.m. in Room P9. Cost is $51.
