Good Folks, Good Cause

Rose Sanders, administrative assistant at the Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, wrote to relate the good news about the church’s 14th annual Yuletide Bazaar. Both the customers and the helpers, including Andra Smith, Henry Fischer and Shani Floyd were in great spirits. Sanders said when the event opened on that “cold, glorious day” there was a mad rush to the baked goods table with lefse, a Norwegian flatbread, proving to be a big draw. The homemade crafts, from driftwood to recycled blocks to sewn items, also were popular. In the end, more than $10,000 was raised to support local charities. “It was a joy to greet each and every one of you,” Sanders said. “Have a very Merry Christmas and we’ll see you in 2014.” Submitted photo
