The City of Sequim Public Works Department will resume the grease trap inspection program in 2015.

The inspections may occur at any business or organization within the city limits that have a commercial grade kitchen.

This will include, but may not be limited to, restaurants, schools, churches and club facilities.

The city will determine the need for inspections based on the amount of grease that is found in the sewer lines. The Public Works Department will do its best to give establishments a two-day notice prior to the inspection and asks that paperwork or pumping orders be available for review. Inspections will be performed by a Sequim Public Works staff member during regular business hours.
