Green River Mountain Men host annual rendezvous just south of Sequim

An exciting era of America's past comes to life as the Green River Mountain Men present its annual Rendezvous at the Peninsula Longrifle's location just south of Sequim from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 3-4.

An exciting era of America’s past comes to life as the Green River Mountain Men present its annual Rendezvous at the Peninsula Longrifle’s location just south of Sequim from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 3-4.

Admission is free to come and look around. Shooter’s fee is $20 per person for ages 13 and up.

The rendezvous site is on Slab Camp Road, just off Lost Mountain Road. Directional signs will be placed along the way.

This reenactment of the annual fur trappers’ gatherings in the early 1800s features historical-style campsites, traders and period-dressed reenactors with fascinating things to see and hands-on opportunities for the entire family.

Activities include black-powder shoots, primitive archery, seminars on a wide variety of fur trade skills and lore, music, children’s activities, traders’ row and much more.

The Green River Mountain Men is a nonprofit organization of men and women dedicated to education the community about the pre-1840s fur trade era.
