Hagberg graduates from basic training

Alisha Hagberg (Stone), daughter of Eric and Tracy Hagberg and 2014 Sequim High School graduate, graduated from Army basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C., on March 23.

She is now with the Army 13B Cannon Crewmember and is the second woman from Washington military occupational specialty, which is taught at Fort Sill’s 1st Battalion, 78th Field Artillery school in Oklahoma.

That job was considered a ground combat role and was only opened to women on Jan. 2 of this year.
