There’s no shortage of haunts, treats and sweets available this Halloween.

Several events are held throughout the weekend in Sequim and the surrounding area for children and adults. Some require admission while others are free and some have stipulations for entry so plan accordingly.

Friday, Oct. 28

• A Halloween Bash will be held at the Carroll C. Kendall Unit Boys & Girls Club in Sequim, 400 W. Fir St., from 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission costs $1 per person and includes 10 game tickets. Concessions cost extra and additional game tickets available for $1 for 10 tickets.

Friday-Saturday, Oct. 28-29

• Layton Hill Horse Camp, 2514 Chicken Coop Rd, Sequim, hosts its second haunted trail at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28-29. The event is recommend for mature audiences. Cost is $10. Boots and waterproof jackets recommended. Call 425-737-7404.

Saturday, Oct. 29

• WAG hosts a Halloween photo booth from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Sequim Farmers Market at the corner of Washington Street and Sequim Avenue. Costumes are available for dogs of all sizes. Bring your camera and your dog(s) with donations accepted for the organization.

• The Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., hosts Zumba instructors leading dance fitness with a witches theme from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, for $10 per person and proceeds benefitting Sequim Food Bank. Costumes are encouraged and children 16 and younger are free.

• Haunted Hallways takes place in Sequim High School’s H Building, 601 N. Sequim Ave., from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. The family-friendly event features an array of activities and nonperishable goods are donated to Sequim Food Bank.

• Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., hosts a Spooktacular Haunted House from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Presented by the OTA Children’s Theatre Troupe, teams conduct guided tours of the “haunted” theater building which will boast a series of frightful special effects. Candy, games and concessions included. Admission is $5 at the door with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Theatre program.

• The Olympic Peninsula Humane Society, 1743 Old Olympic Hwy, Port Angeles, hosts a Halloween Party from 2-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, with pumpkin carving, a costume contest for pets and people, a photo booth, games, candy and prizes. The Port Angeles Lions Club will sell funnel cakes, corn dogs and hot chocolate. Cost is $10 to participate or a donation of dog/cat food, cat litter, cans of 100-percent pumpkin, and/or paper towels. Call 457-8206.

• Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, holds its annual Pumpkin Party and Country Fair on Saturday, Oct. 29 with the Pumpkin Party starting at 4 p.m. in the grange outdoor kitchen. Pumpkins and cookies provided. The fair begins at 5 p.m. with tickets available for purchase for games and a cake walk along with face painting.

• Bandy Farms/ Troll Haven, 950 Gardiner Beach Road, Sequim, hosts the second Valley of the Trolls Spooktacular on Saturday, Oct. 29, with 1-mile and 5-kilometer runs. • 7 Cedars Casino, 270756 U.S. Highway 101, Sequim, hosts its Halloween party with music by The Nasty Habits from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. A costume contest will run at 11 p.m. with cash prizes. Must be 21-plus to enter. No cover.

Through Sunday, Oct. 30

• Troll Haven, 950 Gardiner Beach Road, Sequim, hosts a haunted orchard for older audiences through Sunday, Oct. 30. It opens 6-9 p.m. and costs $5 per person or $10 plus barn activities.

Monday, Halloween

• The free Port Angeles Downtown Association Trick-or -Treat is from 2-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. The event is open to costumed youngsters accompanied by parents or caregivers. Stores bearing a “trick-or-treat” sign on doors or windows offer treats to costumed children. Downtown streets will remain open to traffic so care should be exercised when crossing streets.

• The annual Sequim Merchants Trick-or-Treat will be held at a variety of Sequim businesses between 3-5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. The free event, sponsored by the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce and Sequim Merchants, features business owners with a posted picture of a pumpkin in their window handing out treats to children.

• Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E Lopez Ave, Port Angeles, hosts a Messy Church event from 4:45 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, with devotions, a common meal, and fun messy activities.

• Olympic View Church of God hosts its annual Trunk-N-Treat from 5-7 p.m. on Halloween night at 503 N. Brown Road. It offers free food, drinks and treats for children with a professional photo booth offered also for free. Call Sandi Lockwood at 775-8322 or the church at 683-7897.

• Faith Lutheran Church, 382 W. Cedar St., hosts a Harvest Happening, from 5-7 p.m. on Halloween with free games, prizes, food, candy, cake walk, music and entertainment for all ages. Family-friendly costumes encouraged. Call 683-4803.

• The Bash fall festival, will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 at Kings Way Four Square Church, 1023 Kitchen-Dick Road in Sequim. A donation of nonperishable food will be collected at the door for Sequim Food Bank. The family-friendly, all-ages event will include a rock climbing wall, pony rides, a ferris wheel and indoor games. Prizes and candy will be given to attendees. Through Halloween

• The Pumpkin Patch, a 33-acre farm at the corner of U.S. Highway 101 and Kitchen-Dick Road, remains open noon-6 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 31 with extended hours Oct. 28-29 for night visits to the corn maze. U-pick pumpkins cost $.50 per pound and fees apply to the maze and pumpkin shooter. Call 461-0940.
