The Clallam Conservation District board of supervisors has approved a program to provide cost sharing assistance to homeowners for the repair of failing onsite septic systems.
At this point, only homeowners in need of financial assistance within the Sequim-Dungeness Clean Water District are eligible. The district covers the area from Bagley Creek to the eastern county boundary.
To be eligible for cost sharing assistance, a homeowner must have a failing onsite septic system as determined by Clallam County Environmental Health and must need financial assistance in order to make the necessary repairs and/or upgrades.
Up to 75 percent of the cost of the repairs and up to $1,500 for design work and permitting are eligible for reimbursement.
If you think you might qualify for this program, contact Clallam County Environmental Health at 417-2506 to schedule a site visit.
