A 13-year-old boy was struck and seriously injured in a hit-and-run incident that occurred around 9 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of West Spruce Street, according to the Sequim Police Department.
According to a press release, a vehicle traveling eastbound struck the boy, who was on foot, and continued without stopping. He sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The police department reports that, according to the family, the teen is in stable condition and is undergoing medical treatment.
The boy was identified on social media and on a GoFundMe page. However, the Sequim Gazette will not publish his name until contact has been made with his family or his name is released by officials.
