Irrigation Festival buttons big hit for fifth-graders

Winners for the fifth-grade Irrigation Festival button contest were announced on March 26.

Winners for the fifth-grade Irrigation Festival button contest were announced on March 26.

At Helen Haller Elementary, Daniel Belbin sold 120 buttons winning him an MP3 player, Brandon Grow sold 100 buttons, winning a CD player and Holly Eiland. pictured above, with sales of 72 buttons won a bike. Irrigation Festival Princess Lindsay Merrell, Queen Holly Hudson, Princesses Elisha Elliott and Meghan Gammell handed out prizes.

At Greywolf Elementary, Caleb Simonson won a

bike for selling 320 buttons, which he designed. Yahtziri Sandoval with 52 button sales and Johnnie Wallace with 45 button sales, won an MP3 and a CD player, respectively.

All students who sold at least 20 buttons earned a

pizza party and chocolate chip pancake breakfast.
