On Dec. 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society will be hosted by Harbinger Winery for “Yappy Hour.” Several cats (or kittens) and dogs will be present to hand out free wags, purrs, and licks! There will be opportunities for adoption, sign up to volunteer, or to just hang out and enjoy the atmosphere.

The featured wine of the evening is the Menagerie, a wine that’s been produced exclusively for the OPHS. It has been coined “the Dog Wine” since all of the profits benefit the OPHS.  Complimentary tastings of the Menagerie will be available, as well as by-the-glass and bottle sales. A portion of all sales during the event will go to the OPHS. This is a great time to pick up wine and gifts for the holidays and be part of the community effort to raise awareness of the humane treatment of animals.

This also is a great opportunity to pick up some raffle tickets and enter your name to win a kayak donated by Adventures Through Kayaking, a Wine Club Membership for a year compliments of Harbinger Winery, a gift certificate to Olympic Day Spa, artisan glassworks from Strait Fusion Glass Company, as well as a bunch of other great local stuff! Raffle tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at either Harbinger Winery or Adventures Through Kayaking. The drawing will be held on Christmas Day, so maybe you’ll get something unexpected this year!
