KSQM hosts fundraising dinner

KSQM FM, Sequim’s community radio station, hosts its first dinner dance fundraiser, "Moonlight Memories," starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Sequim Elks Club, 143 Port Williams Road.

The evening features a 1940s supper club atmosphere; attendees are urged to dress in nightclub attire to match.

Dance and listening music of big band, swing and romantic styles are courtesy of the 16-piece Stardust Big Band, with special entertainment and live and silent auctions between sets.

Dinner features hors d’oeuvres, prime rib or fresh salmon entrees, complimentary wine and additional courses.

Live auction items include a sightseeing yachting trip for six, round-trip tickets on Kenmore Air, a bed-and-breakfast stay for four couples, a 1937 sewing machine owned by Howard Hughes’ maid and more.

Tickets are $75; two-thirds of that is tax-deductible.

KSQM is all volunteer and has been serving the North Olympic Peninsula since December 2008. See the KSQM website at www.ksqmfm.com.
