Land trust extends deadline for plaque

North Olympic Land Trust has extended the deadline to Friday, Jan. 8, for adding names to its 2009 plaque listings

North Olympic Land Trust has extended the deadline to Friday, Jan. 8, for adding names to its 2009 plaque listings at the Clallam County Courthouse, which are $100 each. Names will be added later in January.

Land trust executive director Greg Good said the extended deadline will enable people who make charitable donations at the end of the year to order listings.

Plaques, which are updated each year with new listings, are mounted in the hall just west of Elwha Return salmon artwork in the courthouse.

The land trust will send a gift card with a full-color reproduction of the salmon art to each person honored with a listing or to family members of those honored as a memorial.

Listing forms can be downloaded from www.nolt.org or requested by calling 417-1815.
