Clallam County Health and Human Services hosts two informational meetings on the recently opened Specialty Services II Detoxification Program, located at 825 E. Fifth St., Port Angeles.

The meetings will include an overview of the program and referral procedures. The program’s directors will be presenting information about the program, which serves individuals who are withdrawing from addictive substances.

Detoxification programs provide professional care to individuals to ensure safety during substance withdrawal, including alcohol, as a step towards treatment for addiction.

The meetings are held in the Emergency Operations Center in the basement of the County Courthouse, from 2-3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15, and at the same time and location on Tuesday, Dec. 16. The same information will be presented at both meetings.
