Learn tools to manage holiday stress

Dr. Dorothea Hover-Kramer, Ed.D. RN, and diplomate in comprehensive energy psychology, will present the December Wellness Forum on “Creating Stress-Free Holidays.”

The free forum is from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Olympic Medical Park, 840 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, in the conference room on the second floor.

“This is a new location for the monthly Wellness Forums, which have grown increasingly popular over the past year,” said Hover-Kramer, who also is Wellness committee chairman and member of the Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic board of directors. “The forums are offered in collaboration with our community partner, the Sequim Gazette.”

Holidays are not always happy times for people — they can be a time of added family pressures, of increased awareness of losses in their lives and of very high self-expectations. Hover-Kramer, who has authored seven books about energy therapies, will share practical tools for being aware of the internal drivers that cause people to overextend themselves and specific resources to relieve the sense of pressure many people feel at holiday times.

All are welcome to attend the free, hourlong program as part of WOW! which is the Working on Wellness brand of the clinic. Call 582-0218 for more information.
