Leaving a legacy focus of workshop

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is hosting a free educational workshop to help pre-retirees and retirees better understand their legacy is more than just money. Called “My Legacy Matters: Living and Planning a Meaningful Legacy,” the workshop will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at El Cazador Mexican Grill, 531 W. Washington St., Sequim.

The workshop will be presented by Thrivent Financial representatives Stephen Moser and Sherryl Adair, with special guest speaker (on wills and estate plans) attorney Mark Mullins.

The workshop helps pre-retirees and retirees to understand that their legacy also is values, traditions and life lessons. Participants in the workshop learn how to take steps to identify their values, clarify their intentions for their legacy and create a legacy plan.

“Understanding what legacy you are going to leave behind and having a say in the values you want to emphasize is important,” said Moser. “‘My Legacy Matters’ helps participants identify those values and create a solid legacy plan.”

To register for the workshop, call Stephen Moser at 681-8882 or e-mail stephen.moser@thrivent.com. The reservation deadline is Friday, Nov. 12. A complimentary dinner will be served.
