The Sequim Valley Lions Club recently built a wheelchair accessible ramp for Lyle Strand, a 90-year-old Sequim resident. Five men worked two days on the ramp. Local club president Arndt Lorenzen said the request came from Lennart Anderssen, a former Lions Club member, who also helped with the project.
"Needs for our help come from the people. Our next project depends on them," Lorenzen said.
Anderssen was happy to help the Lions on the ramp.
"When you’ve made a few, it becomes habit," Anderssen said.
Sequim Valley Lions Club meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Sequim Senior Activity Center, 921 E. Hammond St.
