12th-annual Dungeness Crab & Seafood fest hits peninsula Oct. 11-13

The 12th Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival is back, geared to feed and entertain an estimated 12,000 locals and visitors Oct. 11-13 in Port Angeles.

 

Graham Kerr, the “Galloping Gourmet,” returns on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. for a cooking demonstration and talk.

Kerr is the guest judge for the Captain Joseph House Benefit Chowder Cook-off, set for Sunday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

 

New vendors include Taylor Shellfish, who shucks oysters all weekend in the Kitsap Bank Crab Central Tent, while Next Door Gastropub and Little Devil’s Lunchbox join with more than a dozen other local and regional restaurants.

 

Event organizers are expanding the Community Crab Feed on Friday night to include all of the restaurants under the big top, featuring the crab feed, oyster bar and eight restaurants, plus live music from 4-9 p.m.

 

The festival is located at Port Angeles City Pier, Red Lion Hotel and Gateway Center at the corner of Lincoln and Front streets.
