Former Sequim resident Lynne Rogers hosts the third annual “Celebration of Living and Giving” luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 3, at Club 7 at 7 Cedars Casino, in collaboration with the Sequim Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital.

It will be the annual gathering of “CHICs,” an Internet group she founded; a benefit for the hospital guild and her birthday party. The public is welcome and asked to bring Crayola-brand crayons and coloring books for children at the hospital.

The Happy Timers Clowns and musician and storyteller Carlos Xavier will entertain.

Cash donations will be accepted to help pay the medical bills of patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital. During 2009, the hospital treated more than 1,700 patients from Clallam County and nearly half qualified for some uncompensated care.
