Want to learn how to grow vegetables in your own backyard? Need help with pests that are getting the better part of your harvest?

Interested in planting time-tested vegetables that grow well in this climate or vegetables and varieties that are new to the scene?

Veteran Master Gardeners Bob Cain, Audreen Williams, Jeanette Stehr-Green and Laurel Moulton will lead a one-hour walk through the Fifth Street Community Garden, 328 E. Fifth St., Port Angeles, at noon Friday, May 13.

The walk is part of the Lunch in the Garden educational series sponsored by Clallam County Master Gardeners to help home gardeners learn what needs to be done in the vegetable garden each month and what problems are likely to appear throughout the growing season.
