Olympic Medical Center offers free heart and lung disease prevention and management classes in Sequim and Port Angeles in October.
Classes from noon-1 p.m. at the Medical Services Building, 840 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, are "What Is Heart Failure and What You Can Do," on Oct. 15; "Reduce Your Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Naturally," on Oct. 20; and "How to Maximize Your Pulmonary Function," on Oct. 27.
Classes from noon-1 p.m. in the McCarter Conference Room, first floor east, Olympic Memorial Hospital, 939 Caroline St., Port Angeles, are "Cardio/Aerobic Exercise: The Best Medicine," Oct. 8; "How to Keep All 4 Parts of Your Heart Healthy," Oct. 18; and "How Reading Food Labels Can Help You Lose Weight," Oct. 25.
Information about entering a cardiac services chronic disease program, pulmonary rehabilitation or "Healthy U," for heart failure, is available after each session.
