After 40 years with clinic, staffer to retire

After four decades at the Peninsula Children’s Clinic, Shirley Newell-Glaubert is calling it a career.

Newell-Glaubert graduated from University of Washington Nursing School in 1967. She worked at Harborview Hospital Room while finishing her nursing degree. She married Jack Glaubert just months later and they moved to Forks. Jack worked for the Department of Natural Resources and Shirley worked for the Forks Community Hospital in the emergency room. In 1973, they moved to Sequim. Shirley worked at the Olympic Memorial Hospital for two years.

In 1975, she was hired and began working for the Peninsula Children’s Clinic, where she has worked serving generations of families for the past 40 years.

Her family and friends want to congratulate her and wish her the best retirement has to offer.
