The North Olympic Foster Parent Association is among 14 nonprofit foster care organizations that will receive an undetermined portion of nearly $169,000 raised during Sleep Train’s 11th annual Pajama Bowl.
The donation that the association receives will help it fulfill “little wishes” programs for local foster children, allowing them to participate in fun extracurricular activities that they may otherwise miss out on such as dance classes, school field trips, sports teams, music lessons and summer camp.
There are about 150 foster children in Clallam County living in 40 approved foster homes.
