Two Sequim High School sophomores were honored by the Sequim Elks Lodge at its November Social Night Dinner. Ella Christiansen was honored for the month of October and Jordan McMinn for the month of November.
Both youths were selected for their high academic achievements as well as involvement in school activities.
Christiansen maintains a 3.779 grade-point average and is in Honors Chemistry, ASL (American Sign Language) II, photography, Honors Algebra II, Honors Literature and cooking. She also is a member of varsity volleyball and basketball teams. Her favorite subject is American Sign Language. Upon graduation she plans to go to college and major in physical therapy. She is the daughter of Sten and Lisa Christensen.
McMinn maintains a 3.907 grade-point average and is in Honors World Literature, Spanish II, Honors Western Civilization, economics, chemistry and geometry. She is a member of the varsity basketball team and coaches youth basketball players. She is a member of ASB/Leadership and Honors Society groups. Her favorite subject is literature. Her future plans are to attend college and major in either journalism or public relations. McMinn is the daughter of Doyle and Beth McMinn.
