Tea Gauthun, a sophomore at Sequim High School was named Student of the Month by Sequim Elks Lodge #2642 at their February Social Night dinner meeting.

Gauthun was selected for her academic achievements and student involvement at Sequim high. Her interests include learning and helping other people. Her school courses include Spanish I, Biology, World Literature, Geometry, Cooking and Racquet Sports, which include tennis and trap shooting.

Gauthun’s future plans after high school are missionary work in a third-world country and then attending a university in South Carolina, majoring in nursing.

Gauthun is the daughter of David Gauthun and Terri Grendahl Gauthun.
