Adare McMinn, a Sequim High School sophomore, recently was named the March Student of the Month by Sequim Elks Lodge No. 2642 and honored at a social night dinner.

McMinn, a 3.95 grade-point average student, was selected for her high academic achievements and student involvement at Sequim High.

She is enrolled in Honors Chemistry, Honors Western Civilization, Honors Literature, Algebra II and photography.

She plays on a club soccer team, enjoys snowboarding and playing guitar.

She plans to attend a four-year college and future plans include traveling the world.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith McMinn.
