Redshaw joins arts commission
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee recently appointed former Clallam County resident Rebecca Redshaw to the Washington State Council for the Arts for a three-year term.
The commission’s mission is to envision a Washington where the arts are thriving and celebrated throughout the state. Acting as catalysts for the arts in Washington, the commissioners as well as the ArtsWA staff work to support communities through the state in bringing art into the lives of all those who live in Washington.
Redshaw is an author and playwright with a background in music and film. Her novella “Dear Jennifer” is published and has been adapted and produced as a play.
Redshaw recently finished “Into the Wind,” a dramatization based on the 1904 General Slocum steamship disaster, and is at work on her third novel. See www.rebeccaredshaw.com.
