Milestone: Sequim Soroptimists bestow Continuing Education Scholarships

Soroptimist International of Sequim recently awarded its Continuing Education Scholarships. Scholarships were awarded to four Sequim area women; Jennifer Landoni, Cathleen O'Connell, Moriah Vogel-Seaton and Jennifer Weir.

Soroptimist International of Sequim recently awarded its Continuing Education Scholarships. Scholarships were awarded to four Sequim area women; Jennifer Landoni, Cathleen O’Connell, Moriah Vogel-Seaton and Jennifer Weir.

Landoni is majoring in earth science at Oregon State University.

O’Connell is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business management at Peninsula College.

Vogel-Seaton is acquiring her associate of arts degree from Peninsula College and dental hygiene at Clark College.

Weir has completed three of her five years in veterinary medicine at the University of Washington.

Women who have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and have graduated from Sequim High School or live in the Sequim area and are enrolled for the following year are eligible for this $2,000 scholarship.

The next application period opens May 2017.
