Milestone: Shipley Center’s Smith reaches 10th year

The Shipley Center’s 2015 board of directors recently honored executive director Michael Smith for 10 years of dedicated service.

The Shipley Center’s 2015 board of directors recently honored executive director Michael Smith for 10 years of dedicated service.

During the Shipley Center’s St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon on March 17, Shipley Center board president Linda Zabora and board director AnnaLee Smith presented Smith with an award.

Zabora also recognized Smith’s vision for the future of the Shipley Center. “Michael has a dream that one day the Shipley Center will have so much to offer our community with a gymnasium, classrooms, inside walking track and so much more. Michael is, I believe, the one person who will see it through.”

The center is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.Monday-Friday and is available for tours.
