Tucker is Rotary Student of the Month
Amy Tucker, a junior at Sequim High School, was recognized as the Sequim Sunrise Rotary’s October Vocational student of the month. She lives in Sequim with her parents Stacy and Brian and sister who is in seventh grade.
Tucker was nominated by her teacher Steve Mahitka, who is the Sequim High School Agricultural teacher as well as her FAA advisor.
Mahitka told the Rotary Club how far she has come in the FAA program and how hard she works with her animals. She is helpful with the other students and has a great attitude.
Some of Tucker’s other favorite classes include science and literature.
Tucker attends the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center in Port Angeles and her future plans include a career in veterinary science and work as a vet tech for large animals.
