‘Miracle’ comes to Sequim

This weekend begins Sequim High School’s two-week run of "The Miracle Worker," the story of teacher Annie Sullivan, played by Emily McFarland, working with blind and deaf child Helen Keller, played by Heather Brown.

Sullivan overcomes Keller’s animal-like instincts by helping her to communicate through sign language.

"The Miracle Worker" derives from Keller’s autobiography "The Story of My Life," and is directed by Christy Rutherford.

The play is at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20, 21 and 27; and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 28, in the Sequim High School auditorium, 601 N. Sequim Ave.

Tickets are available at the door. General admission is $7 for adults. Students, seniors and youths under 12 are $5.
