A morning collision at Cliff Robinson Lane on U.S. Highway 101 has left one person dead and two in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash. Cliff Robinson Lane is between Dryke and Sherburne roads.

Bryan T. Crawford, 52, of Port Angeles, driver of a Ford F150 pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to a Washington State Patrol report, the driver of the 2003 Ford flatbed — Stewart E. Wyckoff, 28, of Poulsbo — didn’t see that the Accord in front of him had stopped moving and rear-ended the car as it was waiting to turn across the double yellow lines. The collision forced the Accord into a ditch.

Wyckoff’s Ford flatbed spun into the eastbound lane, striking Crawford’s Ford F150 truck. The Ford F150 rolled, coming to rest on the eastbound shoulder.

The crash is being investigated by the state patrol.

The highway remained closed until 2 p.m.

One of the passengers declined treatment from medics, while four persons were transported to Olympic Medical Center with minor to critical injuries. Of these, John N. McMahon, 42, of Port Angeles, was later air transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Also injured in the collision were Kayla E. Walls, 22, of Cedar City, Nev., and Corbin D. Reneman, 20, of Sequim.

Nicholas Crawford, 19, a passenger in Bryan Crawford’s pickup, was reportedly uninjured.

Crews from Clallam County Fire District 3 assisted the wreck.
