Primary Care Sequim, 520 N. Fifth Ave., has hired two new family nurse practitioners, Susan Foster Zdon and Rose Vasquez.
Foster Zdon began Jan. 11 and Vasquez starts Feb. 15.
“I think (Primary Care Sequim) fits with my philosophy. It’s a privilege to work with people on their health care,” Foster Zdon said.
“This clinic respects that and we’re not just a health care machine.”
She holds a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Washington and a master’s in public health and public affairs from the University of Minnesota.
“While I do like policy, I do like being with people,” she said.
Foster Zdon has worked in a wide range of medical settings including emergency departments, reproductive health and public health, mostly in urban areas.
“I look forward to doing health care in a small town,” Foster Zdon said.
Vasquez was not available for comment.
