All 38 troopers were sworn in by state Supreme Court Chief Justice Gerry Alexander. Besides Corey, other troopers were assigned to District 8, which covers Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson, Clallam, Pacific, Grays Harbor and Wahkiakum counties.

These troopers began their new assignments on Feb. 1 with a meeting at the Bremerton District office.

There they met the command staff and became familiar with Washington State Patrol procedures.

After completing more than 1,000 hours of training, these troopers became a part of Washington’s premier law enforcement organization.
