Newly minted grads

Eight Sequim-area residents recently received academic degrees from Western Governors University-Washington.

Among local graduates were:

• Karla Wiker, a post-baccalaureate Teacher Preparation in Mathematics;

• Rebecca Mitchell, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management;

• Sara Benjamin, a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics;

• Kay Still, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting;

• Jennifer Van De Wege, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership;

• Heather Titterness, a Bachelor of Arts in Science;

• Kevin Chinn, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and

• Sean O’Mera, a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction.

The university held its fifth annual commencement ceremony at Seattle’s Key Arena on April 16 and celebrated the graduation of more than 1,900 graduates.
