Join staff from the City of Sequim Public Works and Community Development Departments from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, for a “Raingardens and More” open house to assist the public and residential builders and developers with ways to manage stormwater on site and in compliance with drainage plan requirements. The open house will be held at the Sequim Water Resources Interpretive Center, 500 N. Blake Ave.
The city has new worksheets and guidance documents available and encourages residents, contractors and landscape designers to stop by with their questions and to meet with staff and discuss individual projects. Attendees are encouraged to bring specific plans.
Tools and resources include checklists for maintaining 22 different types of stormwater facilities and what is expected during construction to prevent erosion.
