Two upcoming meetings will be held in order for parents and legal guardians to preview state-mandated HIV prevention education program and videos Sequim students might see.
The first meeting begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, in the Helen Haller Elementary School Library, 350 W. Fir St. The second meeting begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, in the Greywolf Elementary School Library, 171 Carlsborg Road.
Grade levels will be presented at both meetings as follows:

Curriculum and videos will be available for preview in the school libraries. Parents/legal guardians will be asked to sign in, and after previewing the materials, parents who wish to have their child excused from participation in the HIV prevention program may sign a release form provided at the meeting.
State law provides that a parent or guardian must attend such a meeting before they can have their child or legal ward excused from participation in the HIV prevention program.
