Richard “Doc” Robinson, Ph.D., is the new executive director of Serenity House of Clallam County.
“Doc has the skills we want, he’s known locally and has a great attitude,” board vice president Brando Blore said, introducing the new hire. “I think we’ll all enjoy working with him.”
Robinson’s volunteer work with PA-CAN and Revitalize Port Angeles, to address issues related to homelessness, plus his experience in business, public management and fundraising, position him to be an effective leader for the agency, Blore said.
Founded in 1982, Serenity House is a community-based nonprofit, dedicated to preventing and ending homelessness throughout Clallam County.
“Serenity House provides 90 percent of all housing services to people experiencing homelessness in Clallam County and reduces demand for expensive tax-paid hospital and jail stays,” Robinson said, “We are a win-win for our clients and our county.”
