Sequim Bay is now closed to harvesting of all shellfish, including clams, geoducks, oysters and mussels, after officials noticed a rise in marine PSP biotoxin levels.

Discovery Bay is closed to butter and varnish clam collection, as are beaches on the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Pillar Point eastward to the Jefferson County line.

Dungeness Bay has no shellfish closures, though all areas in Clallam County are closed for the sport harvest of scallops.

Crabmeat is not known to contain the PSP toxin, but crab guts can contain unsafe levels; to be safe, clean crab thoroughly and discard the guts.
