The North Olympic Library System’s Bookmobile service is making a comeback, and library staff are seeking an artist’s touch to adorn the vehicle.
NOLS is looking to hire an artist to design the exterior vehicle lettering and graphic design for its new Bookmobile Sprinter Van.
The vehicle design includes a combination of lettering and or decals that are digitally-printed on wrap vinyl and then cut into a shape or cut out of standard solid colored vinyl, NOLS officials note.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, Feb. 23. Local artists from the North Olympic Peninsula are encouraged to apply, however all artists are welcome to apply and will be considered, library representatives said.
NOLS is a rural county library district with four primary service sites, including its main branch in Port Angeles, and other branches located in Sequim, Forks and Clallam Bay. The library system will be expanding to include a Bookmobile serving additional areas of the county in mid-2022.
Library staff plan to have the Bookmobile make regular stops throughout the county and at community events.
