North Olympic Land Trust offers monthly conservation tours beginning Saturday, Jan. 29. The first tour is to the Dungeness Valley Creamery, on which North Olympic Land Trust holds a conservation easement.
Meet at 10 a.m. at the creamery at 1915 Towne Road north of Sequim. Owner Jeff Brown will give a short tour of the farm.
The group will take a short hike along the Dungeness River dike to another conservation easement property owned by the Department of Fish and Wildlife and learn about restoration work in that area.
Along the way Hannah Merrill, a natural resources planner with Clallam County, will talk about the dike setback project.
Contact Lorrie Campbell, stewardship manager for North Olympic Land Trust, at 417-1815, ext. 4, or lorrie@nolt.org for more information or to RSVP.
