Noon Rotarians honor Mary Hadley

The Rotary Club of Sequim board of directors recently voted to approve Mary Hadley's nomination for honorary membership for the year 2009-2010.

The Rotary Club of Sequim board of directors recently voted to approve Mary Hadley’s nomination for honorary membership for the year 2009-2010.

"We are pleased to recognize Mary’s role in our club’s service outreach," said club president Dick Hughes. "Her and her husband’s work will be instrumental in benefitting thousands of Philippine school children over the coming years."

Mary’s husband, Lang Hadley, is the noon club’s international service director. She was nominated because of her involvement in international projects with him. Specifically they work side-by-side exploring international project fairs and evaluating club service opportunities. Most recently they established a relationship with the Olongapo Centennial Rotary Club for the Noon Rotary Club to help provide potable water for 367 students at Iram High School in Olongapo City in the Philippines. The project is under way and due to be finished by year’s end.
